Evan Smith wins in Jr. Stock at Maple Grove.
Jr. Stock is a derivative
of NHRA Stock Eliminator utilizing a heads-up format with a .500
Pro-Tree start. Cars run off the 11.0-pound-per-horsepower weight
break and competitors normally run in the 10.80-11.10 range.
Evan has been competitive scoring two Number One qualifying spots
and two wins since 2006. The next Jr. Stock race will take place
at the Dutch Classic event at Maple Grove Raceway in October.

In addition to the
'93 Cobra, Evan is in the process of assembling a Shelby GT500,
which is currently under construction at Carroll's Rod and Racecraft
in Spotswood, New Jersey. Bob Carroll has been designing a custom
roll cage and fortifying the Mustang for NHRA competition. The
Shelby project has been endorsed by Ford Motor Company and Carroll
Shelby and will run in SS/B with a JDM Engineering 5.4-liter
engine and a G-Force transmission. Stay tuned for build-up photos
from Carroll's Rod and Racecraft.
